Today Camellia is hard at work building her business and taking drumming and DJing to a whole new level. Her creative style has captured the attention of musicians all over the world including bass player Nik West. Camellia uses a hybrid drum set to create the unique sounds and rhythms you find in the majority of her music. She uses the Roland SPD-Sx & SPD- 30 / Octapad to loop and sample original and popular songs. By incorporating acoustic and electronic drums she has been able to sound like a full percussion section alone.

Camellia plays all styles of music, but her most recent focus has been in developing her knowledge in African & Latin rhythms. In recent months Camellia has started to make some positive noise on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Her @Akhamie.Music Instagram is quickly growing, her following is nearing 50,000. Camellia is often featured on very large Instagram accounts like PickUpJazz, DrumTalkTV, and Samba World Percussion. Keep an eye on her, this year.
